WAXING // What Is A Brazilian Wax?Brazilian waxing, or a full Brazilian wax, is the removal of all pubic hair from the pelvic region, vulva, labia, perineum, and anus, while sometimes leaving a thin strip of hair on the mons pubis. This hair removal process can be painful. Robin uses a special technique that is fast and less uncomfortable.
-
WAXING // How Long Should My Hair Be For Waxing? For all body waxing, your hair should be ½ inch, which is about 2-3 weeks of growth. If you just shaved, book your appointment for three weeks out.
-
PEELS // Why Should I Get A Peel?Peels increase the cell turnover rate of your skin and its ability to hold moisture. Peels help improve the skins texture, including minor scarring and help to decrease hyperpigmentation. Peels help your skin produce more collagen, which in turn reduces fine lines. Peels also minimize pore size, helping to clear up acne.
-
PEELS // Is A Peel Painful? Will It Hurt?Peels can be uncomfortable, like sunburn. You may feel a tingly, warm sensation, like you are standing too close to a fire or an oven for too long. This sensation will not last long, up to a duration of 1-2 minutes. You may feel tight and warm but not uncomfortable, up to an hour after your peel.
-
PEELS // What Is A Superficial Peel? This is the most gentle of all peels. A superficial peel removes only the epidermis (the top layer of skin) giving skin an instantly brighter, and tighter look. Skin tone and texture will even out. Superficial flaking may occur.
-
PEELS // What Will My Skin Look Like After A Peel?Peels leave your skin looking smoother, softer, and with an even-toned, dewy glow. Some redness may occur for up to two hours after your peel.
-
PEELS // When Can I Exercise After A Peel? You may exercise 24 hours after your superficial peel.
-
PEELS // Why Are Glytone Professional Peels Important?Regular cell turnover and exfoliation are important to healthy skin. With chronological aging, as well as exposure to environmental damage (including UV rays), our desquamation slows. This can lead to a buildup of dead surface skin cells, followed by the apperance of a dull complextion, and compromised skin barrier function. Glytone peels help to accelerate exfoliation for a more even and radiant complextion.
-
PEELS // What Is A Chemical Peel + What Are The Benefits? In a chemical peel, a chemical solution (acid) is applied to the skin, which makes it "frost" esentially burning the Epidiermis, your top layer of skin, exfoliating that layer of skin, it eventually peels and flakes off. The new skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Chemical peels can be done on the face, neck, or hands. Chemical peels can improve the skin's appearance. Benefits Include: -Smoother and softer skin texture -Improved skin tone and radiance -Diminsihed apperance of fine lines, wrinkles and pore size -Reduced appearance of dark spots -Reduced apperance of oily, acne-prone skin -Reduced apperance of redness

PEELS // Downtime + What To ExpectNo Down Time Peels: These peels are classified as superficial peels. This removes the starum croneum layer, the dead skin cells, stimulating the top layer of skin. These peels are great for all skin types. You will leave with your skin glowing and tight. There is no down time. Medium Peels and What To Expect: Medium Peels stimulate the first layer and the top of the second layer of your skin. The peel penetrates deeper than a superficial peel. These peels are great for anti-aging, texture, large pores, mild pigmentation, oily skin and hormonal breakouts. You will leave looking a bit pink and tight. Your skin may be tight and dry and flaky for up to 4 days. Deep Peels and What To Expect: Deep Peels stimulate first and second layer of skin. (Epidermis and Dermis) These peels are good for moderate to severe chrono-& Photo aging, hyperpigmentation and texture. You will leave red, warm and very tight. The first two days post peel you will be tight and dry. 48 hours after the peel you will start flaking and peeling for 3-5 days. Down time is up to 5-7 days.

CUPPING // What Is Cupping?Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. It is one of the oldest forms of medicine dating back to the Egyptians. The cups may be made of glass, silicone, bamboo or eathenware. There are two types of cupping. Wet and Dry. Glass fire cupping creates a vaccum with fire. A flame is put into a glass cup then placed on the skin. The body absorbs the heat. As the air inside the cup cools, it creates a vacuum. This causes your skin to rise and redden as your blood vessels expand allowing toxic blood to disperse. A more modern version of cupping uses silicone cups instead of fire to create the vacuum inside the cup. They can move from place to place on your skin for a massage-like effect. The suction from both forms of cupping lifts the muscle away from the fashia. Allowing relase of tightness, toxitcity, lymphatic and reglatory blood flow.
-
CUPPING // What Are The Benefits of Cupping? The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite. The old Chinese medical maxim holds that pain results from the congestion, stagnation, and blockage of Qi, or vital energy, vital fluids, lymph, phlegm, and blood. If pain is the essence of disease, then suffering is a result of obstructed or irregular flow in the body. Chinese cupping is therefore a method of breaking up the blockage to restore the body’s natural flow of energy.
-
CUPPING // Does Cupping Hurt? No! It does not hurt. It may be a bit uncomfortable in some areas but as the cups sit, the muscles relax and it feels good. Cupping may feel warm and tingly.
-
CUPPING // How Do I Know If I Need Silicone or Fire Cupping?Silicone cupping cups can be moved and are used with massage and trigger point. Silicone cupping can be added on to any massage and any amount of cups can be placed on the body. Fire Cupping is used for a more agressive detox. Digestive issues, Immunity issues, low grade fever, liver detox, gallbladder issues. Cups are places on the skin with fire, that is absorbed into the body. The cups are left of the back or stomach for up to 30 minutes. Ultimately, the therapist will decide which is best for you.
-
CUPPING // How Long Do The Marks Stay On The Body?It is important to know that the red circles left on your skin from the cups are just marks, not bruses. They resemble hicky marks. Severe stagnation will produce a deep scarlet, purple, or even black discoloration which may take seven to ten days for the dark color to disperse. Overall, marks can stay on the body from 7-10 days - depending on age. The older you are, the longer the marks take to dissapear.
